Pre-Marital Intake Form

Congratulations on your engagement! Marriage is a wonderful blessing that is God's idea for our good and our growth in the gospel. The Scriptures clearly tell us that marriage is a mystery that is meant to reveal to us the good news of the gospel & Jesus' love for His bride, the Church.

Since marriage is such a big deal to God, it is not to be entered into unadvisedly nor haphazardly. While no one is ever fully "ready" to be married, pre-marital counseling plays a critical role in preparing for marriage. At The King's Church, our pastors will typically only officiate weddings of church members when they have had a chance to walk alongside a couple in preparing for marriage. Ideally, 5-6 sessions of pre-marital counseling is recommended.

There are some costs associated with this counseling & officiating the wedding. Generally, there is a one-time fee of $250 to cover all of the pre-marital counseling sessions, which would also include any books/resources that would be required to help during this season. For officiating the actual ceremony there is a suggested honorarium range of between $100-$300 paid closer to the wedding. If you are getting married at The King's Church building, this fee will be built into the rental. Please keep in mind out of town weddings & costs associated with this as well. There is also an assessment tool we utilize called "Prepare & Enrich" which helps the pastor get a full picture of your relational & family history ($35).

Please let the pastor know if finances are an issue so we can discuss how best to serve you in this season; these costs are designed to be minimal in comparison to the cost of a wedding and to honor the time spent in counseling and preparation for the pastor.

As an introduction, please answer the following questions to the best of your ability- all responses are confidential & go directly to the pastor.

A copy of your responses will be sent to your email address.
